Some simple facts on peaches.

Managing a peach orchard in the desert is also an educational experience. We plan on using this endeavor to help Nevada agricultural communities by expanding the produce provided to the local communities. We will offer the knowledge we have gained and work with learning institutions, nurseries, local farmers and mostly the public. Most people don't know how vauable the agriculture industry is to Northern Nevada and can learn first hand.

MacKie Farms runs on a drip irrigation system. As you can see by the pictures below, flood irrigation would not conserve on water usage.

 

There is only a few disadvantages

to a drip irrigation system.

flow control.
