Some simple facts on peaches.

• The actual technical (scientific) name for the peach is "Prunus persica".
• Originated in China, although some believe it was Persia
• Is a stone fruit

• A peach pit contains hydrocyanic acid, which is a poisonous substance.

Managing a peach orchard in the desert is also an educational experience. We plan on using this endeavor to help Nevada agricultural communities by expanding the produce provided to the local communities. We will offer the knowledge we have gained and work with learning institutions, nurseries, local farmers and mostly the public. Most people don't know how vauable the agriculture industry is to Northern Nevada and can learn first hand.
